Hamamatsu Announces Expansion of Toyooka Factory |

Hamamatsu Photonics has announced that it will begin construction of a new building at its Toyooka Factory, the primary manufacturing location of the Electron Tube Division. The new Building Number 10 will serve to increase the division’s capacity for photomultiplier tube (PMT) manufacturing. It will be built on reclaimed land in the northern part of the factory, which is located in Iwata City, Japan. Ground has been broken for the new building and it is expected to be completed by January 2015.
